Moving towards ecologically-friendly, sustainable and socially responsible products
LSustainable development aims to protect our planet from over-exploitation. In 1987, former Norwegian Prime Minister Mrs. Gro Harlem Bruntland said:
“Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs..”
Sustainable development is wider society’s answer to the need to take a new approach to global development, an approach that acknowledges the importance of the environmental and social aspects of development.
Sustainable development is one of DIS-PAR’s key concerns. Over the last few years, the company has drawn up strategies, objectives and methods of assessment and evaluation that enable it to play an active role in promoting sustainable development:
- Environmental issues
- Social issues
- Economic issues
This strategy is implemented and monitored at all corporate levels, including all production sites, by means of regular audits and surveys relating to sustainable development. This enables us to evaluate our performance in these crucial areas.
